Sunday Stash – On a Monday ‘Cause It Feels Like Sunday

Solids. They’re kind of the unsung hero of fabrics. My belief however is that they provide breathing room to let the prints you choose shine through. I’ve been finding out about Essex cotton/linen blends, solid poplin, vintage sheets and of course, Kona cottons. They make every color under the sun, and for around $5 a yard, you get a lot of bang for your buck. For instance, you could make something like this…

Love it.
So, I was so glad to see this collection of Kona Cottons available at www.pinkchalkfabrics.com and I scooped one up right away. Go…get one of your own! See what modern, graphic kind of greatness you can dream up with it.

Katy…isn’t it though?? I can’t bear to cut into it, so I just have it out, so I can drool on it.

this is BEAUTIFUL! I need to venture into solids more. I love how you combined the solids with some prints.
