What a fun giveaway! I’d love to enter!

I can’t remember if I’ve commented before, but I’ve had you in my reader for a few weeks now. Consider this a friendly hello!

What I’m up to…. too much! There’s quite a stack in my Etsy shopping cart right now. Some Erin McMorris Wildwood for the Old Red Barn Co quilt-along, some Robert Kaufmann Metro Market and Michael Miller Apple Dot with ideas for a wonky log cabin, and a couple of Heather Ross Seahorse fat quarters… just because.

    It’s an addiction, isn’t it? :-)

i just bought a bunch of charm packs to show my sister and have her pick some to make a quilt for her with. She fell in love with the wonderland fabric!

That is my main project right now, making her a quilt. i think i am going to make a zig zag quilt using the charm packs and some solids. Im excited! how great to have some FQs to use as a pieced back.

  • 3. Patricia  |  May 26, 2009 at 9:31 am

    great giveaway!!
currently I am working on a ripple quilt with Heather Ross’s Mendocino Line. I have had it for a while and finally got the nerves to cut into it for a quilt.

    Great blog!

  • 4. Barb  |  May 26, 2009 at 9:33 am

Oh, I just bought a wonderland charm pack..those FQ would go perfectly!

Right now I’m working on a million different projects…clothes for my kids, a graduation quilt for a friend, and my sping blooms mini quilt swap quilt. And I’m just waiting for my fabric for the Old Red Barn Quilt Along.

I really enjoy your blog…I’m a naptime quilter too!

  • 5. Mags  |  May 26, 2009 at 9:34 am

I’ve been commissioned to make curtains for a small hotel in Lake City Colorado. I have until the end of the week to get them all done.

Next I’m making a sewing apron and writing a tutorial. I’m also participating in Old Red Barn Co.’s quilt along.

  • 6. Sara  |  May 26, 2009 at 9:53 am

right now i’m trying to get more quilting experience as well as find ways to decorate my new house, so i’m making a series of mini-quilts to hang on my living room wall.

  • 7. Erin K  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:05 am

I can’t stop making aprons right now. And I bet those fat quarters would sew up into a lovely one. :)

    These giveaways are fun!

  • 8. Shelly Pope  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:09 am

I am currently working on the bubble dress pattern from Oliver + S using the Amy Butler fabric. I think it’s going to be fabulous! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • 9. rachel  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:33 am

    tehehehe.

i just bought a buttload of moda.
    it’s SUPER delish.
and i’m working on another new moda bake shop project.
    yum.
i promise it has zero calories.

p.s. i’m doing the sew mama sew giveaway too.
    fun times.

  • 10. Tacha  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:35 am

Goodness me you are generous! I think you know me too! I am working on far too much at the moment! Mini quilts and bee blocks and trying to finish off my hexagon quilt. Simply not enough time in the day!

  • 11. Amy @ parkcitygirl  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:44 am

Fun!! I love wonderland – great giveaway!!

  • 12. Nancy  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:52 am

    Great Giveaway….
I am working on the final borders of a year long mystery quilt. No mystery anymore….just want to get it done and quilted,LOL

Also thinking what project to start next…..lots of yummies came home with me from Paducah…

  • 13. knittinginpink  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:02 am

Right now I’m quite busy making box bags, but once those are done, I’ll be working on a couple quilts that need some work. Finish quilting on one, sandwich and quilt another and finish the quilt top on another. But then, there’s the Old Red Barn Co quilt-along that might need some of my attention too!
I just bought this morning some Echino oilcloth, it will make some great box bags!

  • 14. Lisa C  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:18 am

I bought a bunch of floral type fabric at a quilt show recently and the prices were amazing! This was fabric acquired through an estate sale, so I really lucked out. I’m working on patchwork pillows. I’m on my last pillow – sewing the binding to the back by hand. (There’s got to be an easier way!) I’m also looking to sew some more pillows for my porch and living room, but this time I’ll make them a little bit easier so I get them done faster.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway. I can never get enough vintage type prints on material, especially little animals & flowers.

  • 15. diane  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:19 am

goody goody, what a great giveaway! love Wonderland. Right now I’d love to get my hands on some Wildwood! two patterns in progress: spiderweb and paintbox quilt! Thank You!

  • 16. Kris  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:25 am

I just finished a little mini quilt for a swap on Flickr using the Wonderland fabric. I’d love to have a little more, since all I bought was a charm pack. I’m also excited to get started on our quilting bee next month! Best to you and yours!

  • 17. Audrey  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:32 am

I am trying to finish up some unfinished quilts right now! Then I will make some more baby quilts! I also want to participate in Old Red Barn’s quilt a long but I need to finish some wips first.:) Love the fabric!

  • 18. Kerry  |  May 26, 2009 at 11:43 am

I’m loving this fabric line too. I’m in the process of completing a quilt top with it (getting frustrated though because things aren’t working out…but I’ll keep pushing on). This summer is all about new experiences for me: virtual quilting bees, swaps, lessons, etc…trying to push myself to try new things.

  • 19. Harley  |  May 26, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Love love love Wonderland!! If I had a store nearby that carried it I would be in trouble :D Right now I’m working on a Coin quilt.. all the fabric’s cut, just gotta start stitching! :)

  • 20. 2hippos  |  May 26, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Love Wonderland, especially the butterflies! I have several quilts to finish, and the next one in mind uses fabric from Arcadia.

  • 21. Kleinzonnetje  |  May 26, 2009 at 2:09 pm

Right now I’m working on a mystery quilt, and have just come back from John Lewis with a whole l;ot of lightweight summery fabric to make dresses with for my girls!

  • 22. Jackie  |  May 26, 2009 at 4:01 pm

My last fabric purchase was some muslin (how boring)! I’m working on my third quilt which is a sampler quilt from Eleanor Burns Egg Money Quilts book. I’ve learned a lot!

  • 23. lilamaequilts  |  May 26, 2009 at 4:02 pm

such pretty fabric! I couldn’t resist! Right now I have too many projects to list. mostly my own kids quilts with a few customer orders, swaps, and a couple of quilt-alongs. ADHD??? probably…:)

  • 24. Jill  |  May 26, 2009 at 4:26 pm

    Friendly hello!
Just ordered a bunch of fq’s from Anna Maria Horner’s newest line…for a quilt I think. Oh, and that book! I’ve only gotten a quick look at the store but it looks fantastic!

  • 25. Samantha - Jettas Nest  |  May 26, 2009 at 4:30 pm

Hi! I’m so in love with that Wonderland fabric but sadly hummed and hahed about it for too long and now there’s not much left!

At the moment I’m working on my Bloomin’ Buttonhead brooches which are part of my May Giveaway Day giveaway :)

  • 26. Liz  |  May 26, 2009 at 5:32 pm

Oh, I have been wanting to get some Wonderland. I am joining in on the Old Red Barn Co. quilt along and that was some fabric I was thinking about using. I love your blog, can’t wait to look around. Off to post my giveaway on my blog, come join in!

  • 27. whitney  |  May 26, 2009 at 5:55 pm

I’m working on my first bed-sized quilt (a queen… eek!) that just happens to also be my second quilt ever! I’m in way over my head, but am having fun just barreling through… wish me luck!

my next quilting pattern i want to try is a variation on the dresden plate that i saw in “quick quilts from your scrap bag”… so i’m furiously buying fabric as fast as i can to build up at “scrap bag” from scratch! :)

  • 28. Chen  |  May 26, 2009 at 7:11 pm

Lets see, I’m working on finishing 2 quilt tops, making some nine patches for Crazymomquilts quilt-a-long and starting a new quilt along with Old Red Barn. For some reason, I can’t work on just one thing….Love your giveaway. Will be posting mine soon.

  • 29. Victoria  |  May 26, 2009 at 7:19 pm

Ooo, I love those scissors!! I’ve been holding off buying any new fabric because our big area quilt shop hop is this weekend. I suppose it would be okay if I won some fabric, though!

Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  • 30. Sharon  |  May 26, 2009 at 7:22 pm

What an amzingly generous giveaway! I’ve just come back from hols in the US where I picked up some beautiful fabric (including some amazing japanese linen) that is just calling out to be made into bags and cushions and other lovely things. I just have to get my 22month old son to sit still for a couple of hours so I can get sewing!!

  • 31. Jenna  |  May 26, 2009 at 7:56 pm

I’ve been wanting to read that book, but haven’t seen it yet! Right now I’m working on some custom printed fabric wrist cuffs with handmade ruffling (first time making ruffles and I’m addicted!). I’m hoping to get them in my shop tomorrow – optimistic of me with a 10 week old baby, all these great giveaways to enter and blogs to read… :)

  • 32. L.  |  May 26, 2009 at 8:38 pm

    Great giveaway. I’ll play.

What am I _not_ working on? I have such a long to-do list. We recently (2 months ago) bought our first home and our first dining table so I need to make curtains for nearly every room in the house and am currently working on a few dining table toppers. I have a quilt to do, some hand applique stuff, a tote, a bunch of cross stitching charts that are large, and on and on. What fabric _haven’t_ I been buying. I’m surprised hubby hasn’t taken my credit card away.

  • 33. Ginger  |  May 26, 2009 at 8:43 pm

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • 34. Deb  |  May 26, 2009 at 9:50 pm

Excellent giveaway! Please count me in. Well, I am working on several things right now (I should probably only do one at a time but I have a short attention span). I’ve almost finished a felt pizza for my kids and a fabric version of a memory game. I also just bought the last of the materials I need to make myself a new bag/tote.

  • 35. Kellie  |  May 26, 2009 at 10:45 pm

Wow, great stuff. I am sewing dolls for my shop. I don’t quilt but I do love Amy Butler patterns.

See me in the giveaway too, maybe it could be a win win. ha ha

  • 36. highwaycottage  |  May 27, 2009 at 12:03 am

Cute fat quarters Tina, I’m sure they want to come to my place :-) Can’t you hear them saying “take me to Viv’s, she needs pick me up” !! :-) Hapy giveaway day.

  • 37. Kristy  |  May 27, 2009 at 2:56 am

Hello =) As soon as I get reaquainted with my sewing machine (and other quilting tools) I’ll be working on a white and yellow quilt. This reminds me too, I need to get my hands on some of that Wonderland goodness. Thanks for such a great giveaway!

  • 38. Priscilla  |  May 27, 2009 at 3:12 am

Hi, count me in the draw please! I am working on a quilt to warm me for those cool winter evenings in front of the telly with my handsewing. I use my very first jelly roll and charm pack from Moda, and I love it! And I am not new here, I actually have your blog in my bloglist, I love browsing here :-)

I just finished my first quilt – a stacked coin cot quilt – and I think I’ve caught the sewing bug! I’m planning a new project and have bought some great fabrics with garden motifs: aubergines, sweet peas, figs. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • 40. Em  |  May 27, 2009 at 4:11 am

    Who doesn’t like a giveaway!
I’ve been swamped at work and haven’t found time to sew for a couple of weeks, but I’m in the middle of a couple of quilts… I finished the top of my Neptune quilt the last time I saw my machine (there’s a photo on my blog from a few weeks ago – need to update!), so I think the first thing I will do when I have time is get the backing put together!
I really like the wonderland, too – I ordered a couple of charm packs but haven’t done anything with them! The FQ’s you’re giving away would go perfectly…. Thanks for the chance to win!

  • 41. Renee  |  May 27, 2009 at 4:24 am

I’m working on an original quilt design using some fab Fig Tree fabric and also the Quilt Along with some Pop Garden/Bijoux fabrics. Thanks for the fab giveaway!

  • 48. Jen  |  May 27, 2009 at 6:59 am

Beautiful things… I’m in a gift giving mood – I’ve been making bags (Yoga, totes, garden bags, nappy sacks, laundry bags for dad) and am so wanting to start a project for me… probably an apron or a duvet cover is next in line.

  • 49. Terri  |  May 27, 2009 at 6:59 am

I am in love with heather ross anything right now, but them again who isn’t. Her fabric is so soft I just cringe everytime I cut a piece. Althought it’s usually for a good reason. I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for participating today.

  • 50. JD  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:02 am

Hello! I’m not working on anything right now, except looking for a teaching job! Ha! I am longing to be at my machine making a cute clutch or skirt for the summer though. Having some awesome fabric would be great motivation!

  • 51. roseread  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:02 am

The best part of giveaway day has been discovering so many great blogs :)

  • 52. Jenna Z  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:10 am

I am working on two matching quilts right now for Project Linus! They are rainbow themed. The blocks are all traditional patterns but each in a color of the rainbow and they will be sashed in white with borders of rainbow print fabric around the edges!

  • 55. Melissa  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:25 am

    What a great giveaway! Thanks!

I’m currently working on a nightgown for my daughter. I’m using a green striped fabric that has ladybugs and bees on it and a solid red trim. I’m really excited about it because I’ve had the fabric laying around for years (since highschool!)

  • 56. Celeste  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:29 am

Hi there. I’m working on my toddler daughter’s summer wardrobe. I have one skirt down and a few to go, and I’m hoping to get some light dresses and a church dress done too. This is the first sewing I’ve done since I gave birth to my younger daughter a few months ago, so it feels good–but it’s hard to squeeze in between feedings and changings and taking care of my other children and all the rest.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • 57. Jill  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:32 am

Sounds a bit boring, but I’m making travel laundry bags for the family. I’ve got some great mesh which I’m going to fancy up with some Anna Maria Horner Good Folks fabric.

  • 58. Jen  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:36 am

Cute blog! I’ve added you to my reader. And i love the fabric your giving away! so cute.

I am working on a bunch of different things! i think my next project should be a list to get more organized!

  • 59. rachellake  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:37 am

    What an awesome giveaway!
I’ve been working on a wonky log cabin quilt, and I’m totally obsessed with the way its turning out.
    Thanks!

  • 60. martina su  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:40 am

You are so generous…i am working on purchasing fabric to make my first quilt. i have trouble picking color and print to mix and match. I hope to get better

  • 61. bumblesandlu  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:40 am

Those prints would be great for my mother’s holiday gift. I’ve started all the quilts for the other family members, but I’m sorta stuck on hers.

Right now I’m going through a rediscovery of vintage bed linens and can’t stop looking at potential quilt patterns to use up my stash.

  • 62. Amy Friend  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:43 am

Oh, I just love those! I am currently working on an Hawiaan shirt for my son to wear to his kindergarten party!

  • 63. orata  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:46 am

I love the Wonderland fabrics! I actually bought the red-on-white scissors print and a yard of the “Tea Time” twill to make a tote bag for my mom. When she saw the Tea Time fabric, she declared that it would be a shame to cut it up and took it home to make a wall hanging out of it instead. (But I would still love a Wonderland bag made of contrasting fabrics… the various messenger bags in Sew What! Bags are all very tempting.)

  • 64. alison  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:48 am

Wow I love those fabrics you are giving away!
Right now I have a purse cut out for my mom and I need to make teacher gifts for 2 wonderful, enthusiastic teachers my kids have this year. I also have a skirt for myself cut out and a list so long of things I need (or want) to make that I doubt I’ll get it done this year!

  • 65. Allison  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:53 am

Hello! Thanks so much for the give away. Lately I have been working on aprons and summery skirts!

  • 66. Jessica  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:53 am

The scissors fabric! I just got done making some pins for my cast members, which I have not had a chance to post on my blog yet. Next up, pillowcase dress for a friend’s little girl, baby quilt, and strip quilts. Can you tell I start new projects before I finish the old ones? :)

  • 67. lanigan  |  May 27, 2009 at 7:54 am

    Very fun giveaway goodies!! Hurray!!

My current project involves me getting married this weekend. But after that, I will be working on our guest book quilt. We are having folks sign kona cotton squares at the reception, which i will be sewing into a log-cabin-esque quilt. My first quilting project besides a quilted pillow I made in college.

    WIsh me luck!!

I have so many projects lined up, we’ll see when I get there. Right now I am working on a cute little sundress for my daughter. It would be cute in this fabric as well – I just might have to make a second one :-).

I have had my eye on that book for a while and the fabrics are so lovely! I am trying to make some clothes for myself for the summer. I have made a few things already, but they did not go so well, except for the Built by Wendy top. I’ll keep trying, though…

Awesome giveaway! I just replenished my stash big time. Like many of us, I have quite an addiction to fabric. (The wonderland collection is great.) I just got some Jay McCarroll and Erin McMorris and plan on making, among many other things, sleep shorts for the upcoming summer. :)

Lovely giveaway! I am currently working on a baby playmat/quilt in Wonderland fabric from Moda Bake Shop’s tutorial. I have not made a quilt before, so this is an adventure for me. I want to give the finished product to a friend who is having a baby in August, so here’s to hoping it turns out okay! Thanks for a fun giveaway! (and I am giving away some fabric on my blog too, so come check it out)

  • 98. Andi  |  May 27, 2009 at 9:10 am

    Hello!

I’m currently working on a D9P in Daisy Chain for my sister as a wedding gift. I’m thinking I’ve been a little ambitious, it’s my first ever quilt and it’s a queen size. Thankfully I have been sewing for over 25 years and am a little OC about how I do things so it is shaping up nicely. Thanks for the giveaway!

That fabric line is fabulous! I can see why it is one of your favorites! I am currently working on getting my husband to teach me how to use the sewing machine! LOL! Yes…he can sew beautifully and I can’t even make the machine work! LOL! But, alas, I do hand sew and I like doing that! I will learn…it’s just funny that my HUSBAND can do it! I blame his mother. She taught him! LOL!

  • 109. Kit Knitty  |  May 27, 2009 at 9:42 am

Hello from rainy Toronto. I just bought two bundles of fat quarters and when my husband said I really didn’t need any more fabric since I haven’t used up what I have in my sewing room, I said “Well at least I don’t smoke.” The youngest daughter (24) was with us and she said, “She’s got you there.” He does smoke.

I’m making her an apron. And I’m also making two superhero capes for my 3 yr old daughter and her best buddy to fly around in over the summer break until they can zoom back to Bonnie’s school in the fall.

What a lovely giveaway. I just finished up some blocks for a block swap and some coasters. I wish I could be making larger projects, but with a new baby, my crafting time is so slim. I’ve been eyeing Stitched in Time for awhile but haven’t bought it yet so I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

  • 121. Maggie  |  May 27, 2009 at 10:16 am

I also absolutely love the dress from a couple of posts back. I am also the mom to two little girls (under a year and just shy of four currently) who love dresses. I made their Easter dresses and have been stockpiling fabrics and patterns for more. I think you’ve inspired me to actually break them out and get to sewing.

  • 136. MaryAnne  |  May 27, 2009 at 11:01 am

Great giveaway, I’d love to win! I’ve been mostly intending and occasionally making maternity clothes and outfits for my kids. My son is in dire need of a summer wardrobe, so I need to work on that ASAP.

That dress you made your daughter a few posts back is adorable! I have a 3yo who loves dresses, so maybe I’ll give that pattern a go…

  • 137. Me? A Mom?  |  May 27, 2009 at 11:05 am

Hi! Love this giveaway. I started collecting fabric a few years ago but didn’t know how to sew or anything. I just had an urge to own a yard of everything. So I taught myself to quilt and have been enjoying working with fabric ever since!

  • 138. jess  |  May 27, 2009 at 11:18 am

i’ve been obsessed with this wonderland pattern! i bought a yard of it, and promptly hung it on the wall–just so i could look at it. then i went and about about 4 yards of the rabbit hole to use in my wedding for something! not sure just what yet… napkins, tablerunners, a shawl for me. ok, maybe not a shawl, but the other stuff is for real. :) i plan on reusing the fabric as soon as the wedding is over. i already had some patience issues–and make a curtain from a yard of it! i don’t know if i can wait until september to use it again! :)

  • 139. Signe  |  May 27, 2009 at 11:20 am

    Great giveaway!

I must say I really laughed at the picture of your girls below sleeping together, and at the same time I got wistful b/c I can’t wait until my girls get a little older and want to do “sleepovers” in each other’s beds. I remember doing that with my own sister, and we even shared a room and everything!

Enjoyed what I saw of your blog and adding you to my google reader so I can see some more. Thanks.

  • 274. Karen  |  May 27, 2009 at 8:15 pm

  • 279. Elaine  |  May 27, 2009 at 9:03 pm

Hi, thanks for the chance to win. I think one of my favorite quilt patterns is trip around the world. I’ve never attempted this, but there is an awesome old quilt at my grandparent’s cabin that was made by my Russian great-grandmother. She filled it with camel wool from another quilt she brought with her from Siberia. It is so thick, heavy, and makes you feel held when you are under it. I guess I associate that quilt with that pattern. I also just love the way she sewed, using whatever she had lying around and making do.

  • 280. AmieJ Designs  |  May 27, 2009 at 9:06 pm

  • 296. Knittindiva  |  May 28, 2009 at 12:58 am

Gorgeous fabric! I love the pink/brown combo. I’ve been working on 24 x 24 quilts, to practice my hand quilting. I absolutely love doing it, and I’m trying to get comfortable with hand quilting, to make a larger sized quilt.

  • 297. Ange Moore  |  May 28, 2009 at 2:31 am

What beautiful fabrics – I love the pink and the chocolate brown! I’m really waning to make my daughter a quilt with a “brick path” design and those colours would be perfect! I’m still working on my first ever quilt-top that I had to do when I started dreaming of quilts when I was doing middle-of-the night feeds with my now 7 month old son.

Thanks for such a generous giveaway from a hopefully lucky Tasmanian!

  • 298. Hayley  |  May 28, 2009 at 2:51 am

Right now I am working on zippered wristlets (from splityarn tutorial) for each of my 5 bridesmaids. The zippers are all sewn onto the fabrics but it’s waiting to have the first letter of each girls name sewn onto them. Then it’s finishing them up and stuffing it full of goodies.

  • 321. Zarah  |  May 28, 2009 at 7:03 am

    They’re beautiful!!

Currently, I’m on a grocery bag making spree! I have not been sewing for quite some time (actually, my DH sews more than I do, usually – he sewed all our curtains…) but lately I started again and it’s so much fun!! I have been trying to become more environmentally aware and not use plastic bags so I am sewing bags from thrift store curtains and things like that. DH will be gone throughout summer so I will definitely have time to make a LOT of them and I am hoping to make a handbag too. Or several…! ;)

  • 322. Sandra  |  May 28, 2009 at 7:10 am

Well, I want to make a coupon wallet, but I’m thinking I need to get started on some teachers’ gifts, but what I’d really like to bump to the start of the queue is some sewing for a me: a top or some slippers.

  • 365. Vanessa  |  May 28, 2009 at 11:26 am

Hi! What a great giveaway…Thanks for doing this!
I am a sewing beginner, I just got my sewing machine this year and have done a few small projects. But I want to make a patchwork duvet cover for my cousin. She just graduated from the US Coast Guard Academy and is going to be stationed in Alaska for the next two years. Since she will finally have her own place (no more dorms, yay!) I wanted to make her something special for her new home.
I am actually planning on using the pattern in that very book! It may be a bit ambitious, but I know I can do it. If I win your giveaway, that book would make a great gift for my sister who just got a sewing machine herself.

    Thanks again!

  • 366. Shelly  |  May 28, 2009 at 11:42 am

How fun! With a new little girl, I’m working on a bunch of baby projects – nursing cover, burp rags, changing pad, dresses, etc. I do find it hard to make time for such things, though.

  • 388. Nova  |  May 28, 2009 at 3:06 pm

I bought some fabric this week (we are currently living remote in Western Australia and have come to the city for a week! woo hoo!) I bought a few bits to start a baby quilt, mostly in browns and oranges and I snuck in a piece of Alexander Henry’s spotted owl too, could not resist that! thanks for the chance to win this wonderful giveaway! nova xxx

  • 398. Diane  |  May 28, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Love your giveaway! I have 4 daughters – 15 yr. old and triplets soon to be 13. I just made a Frenchy bag for my oldest with music notes and black and white polka dots. My oldest just made a peasant blouse with straight skirt and two flounces and won our local 4-H Fashion Revue. :-) She was thrilled and surprised. One of my trio came in third with a cute two color dress. The other two didn’t enter but have other projects in the works – a quilt and doll clothes. Lots of sewing in our house…can hardly keep any kind of stash :-) but it’s fun to have girls who also like to sew!

  • 399. michele  |  May 28, 2009 at 4:32 pm

Tomorrow I machine quilt the 9-patches on that one and then this weekend the binding. After that I try to remove the last of the cat pee from the quilt(my cat peed on a pile of basted quilts) and also the dye run (from soaking the basted quilt to remove the worst of the pee).

  • 471. Sandra  |  May 29, 2009 at 2:57 pm

I’m finishing up ten…yes, 10!…baby quilts for the new life among us. Then, I need to finish a double bed quilt for Dave’s cousins’ wedding gift…they celebrated their one year anniversary last month -smile- and then…THEN…a quilt for ME>>>ME>>>ME>>>!
    I hope.
Fabrics…my nearest independently owned fabric store is 150 miles round trip so I rely, heavily, on Joanne’s Fabric and…GASP!…Wal-Mart…while they still have fabric. That won’t be for long though. Hey, here in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest VA, I get fabric where I can.

  • 472. Louisa  |  May 29, 2009 at 3:14 pm

I’m working on piecing a backing for a quilt with great big florals and bold colors. My last fabric purchase was some Chocolate Lollipop line fabric, which is a wonderful name but I didn’t get it based on the fabric which i also like a lot.

Greeting from Fabulous Las Vegas! I’m gearing down from birthday gift crafting and getting ready to start on ChristmaHannuKwanzaaOhm crafting (yup, I’m a freak). Lots of mew babies in the family this year, so it should be a fun time!

  • 494. sfer  |  May 30, 2009 at 5:14 am

Guess what… I just bought some Wonderland too!! LOL!!!
But I wouldn’t mind to win some more. Maybe I’ll share it with my sister, who is also a quilter… :-)

Thanks for the chance to win, and cheers from sunny Barcelona!!

  • 495. Heather  |  May 30, 2009 at 7:13 am

Love the fabric! I will be working on clothes this summer. I think my sister or mom is up next. They both need a skirt.

  • 496. Marguerite  |  May 30, 2009 at 7:57 am

I’m working on a super-secret gonna-make-us-a-zillion-dollars apron concept with my sister :) and also on a knitted baby sweater for a friend.

  • 497. Heather  |  May 30, 2009 at 8:46 am

What cute fabrics! I think they’d be the perfect start to a girly little baby quilt.

I’ve been furiously working on a knitted silk shawl to wear to my brother’s wedding next weekend. I forgot that I lost 20 lb. since I wore the dress a year ago. The dress does not fit and the shawl has been tossed aside in frustration. I’m thinking some sewing might be in order as a distraction to my plight…

I just love those fabrics! They’re so cute! Thank you for giving us a chance to win all that. :)
    I currently have to finish a dress inspired by a vintage pattern. And soft trees as a gift for a friend, and dolly clothes… and I have tons of project ideas after that. Time always seems to be missing, I guess it’s the same for all of us… ^^;

Sweet giveaway! I’m about to work on some Yellow Brick Road pattern quilt tops. It’s a great pattern, really easy!

  • 510. Em  |  May 30, 2009 at 2:12 pm

That book title sounds interesting. I’m going to go check it out. Thanks for showcasing it.
My favorite quilt patterns are just plain variations on chinese coin quilts or yellow brick roads. I just like how simple they are and how they kind of keep each individual fabric from getting lost. And I love linen in quilts.

Thanks for your giveaway. Very nice.

    Em
